Lost Nights
INTRO:
Go, go, go, rabid like we trappin' now.
Go, go, go, rabid like we trappin' now.
Go, go, go, rabid like we trappin' now.
Hook:
Smoking that Gas diesel, I can't even see ya,
Choking that heart reapa', I'm trippin' to meet ya
Leasing my heart gleeful, I can't truly feel ya.
Inhibition disappearing, god fearing, heart lunging.
Rabid dogs rappin' bout that rap shit to a rich bitch.
Verse 1:
It's, It's buggin' in my mind the times.
That Night when we saw the Black-light
Both dealt our own plights cuz our own fights.
But When I saw your Eyes.......
My Heart Flew to the Skies......
So nervous that we almost saw the Curtains
Went straight to the bourbon, to the cliff no swervin'
Now I'm Trippin' off the way I used to feel
Tryna Figure what to do with we, with the memories
The Way it used to be, where'd my heart Flee?
Now I'm trippin out my own Breed.

The Meaning
Behind the
Song.....
In essence the song is about the first night I met my ex-girlfriend and the radical changes that have occurred in my life since that night as well as after we stopped talking.
The intro essentially sets the scene of that night we first met, while the hook really transitions the song from the scene to the moment we locked eyes. Verse 1 proceeds to describe that night as well as what happened right after. While verse 2 goes on to describe the changes that have happened since that night and the song closes with an enigmatic outro that challenges the listener to think beyond the literal meaning of the song.
Goodbye
Intro:
I'm so much more than I was before....
I'm so much more than I was before....
I'm so much more than I was before......before
Hook:
In her eyessss.... I can't see the skies...
Just the murky waters of no real father...
To a daughter dancing with the hoes (hoes, hoes,hoes).....they got her...
Verse 1:
Turned her panties turn to water
Falling and I caught her.
I can't read minds, only travel through time
In the next line of this prophetic rhyme.
It was over the start, fallin' apart.
She was attracted to my Suicidal Thoughts,
She helped me get the treatment and then they stopped.
But, I guess that's when the love was lost....
Like the better I got the more feelings lost.
Like you got caught cause I constantly fought.
As if my shot was my psyche being shot.
You were attracted to me being lost, you were caught in the same locked paradox....
Hook:
In her eyessss.... I can't see the skies...
Just the murky waters of no real father...
To a daughter dancing with the hoes (hoes, hoes,hoes).....they got her..
Verse 2:
It was over from the start, you kept trying to tear it apart.
Bet my heart and your eyes dart.
To my deception, to my inner election.
All that turmoil had my blood boil.
I - I - I - I perfected you sexually, mentally, got ya actin' all independentlyyyyy.....
Why'd you have to leave it the way it be....
I-I-I miss the french girly, my bestieeeee.....
I miss -- miss the poetry, she had to flee
Now, I'm better than you ever thought I could beeee......
And I ain't asking you to be a visionaryyy, just believe in meeee...
Hook:
In her eyessss.... I can't see the skies...
Just the murky waters of no real father...
To a daughter dancing with the hoes (hoes, hoes,hoes).....they got her..
Outro:
Hoes, Hoes, Hoes......

The Meaning
Behind the
Song.....
This song in many ways is very similar and very different from my previous song, Lost Nights.
This song is also about one my exes, but rather than reminiscing about the past like my other song, this one symbolically represents my moving on from our relationship. The song was originally made fairly quickly after a night out about a week after we broke things off for good. What sparked this song was when I went to the same place me and my ex had met and made eye contact with this one girl -- instantly getting deja vu. Experiencing the same scene, almost an exact year later, was really jarring and truly struck me to my core as only then had I really understood how much I changed in a year.
Intro:
The intro, like my previous song, sets the tone of the song and basic theme -- centering around my radical growth in a year.
Hook:
The hook is supposed to be a clever nod to my first song and to the girl herself. In my previous song, there is a line that I sing that is inherently more memorable than the rest of the song because of how much clearer it is as well as how much it contrasts with the rest of the verse. Additionally, that line, "When I saw your eyes.... My heart flew to the Skies...", has least amount of auto-tune of any line in the song and conveys a deeper emotion with its vibrato. However, in this song, I am in essence saying that these beautiful brown eyes have now become reminiscent of muddy waters. Muddy (or Murky) waters that represent both the disturbed, but once beautifully pure relationship we had as well as herself that results from innocence being beaten due to cruel circumstance with only disappointing solutions to heal wounds that will never truly heal properly. Finally, the last part of the verse refers to how in trying to compensate for the lack of proper parental relationships, she finds intimacy in something she'd always loathed becoming. I don't aim to disparage those who are more sexually free, but rather aim to highlight how she'd become the very thing she'd hate in an effort to handle her own painful struggle.
Verse 1:
The first verse is fairly straightforward as it simply focuses on the beginning of that relationship. It details, how what seems to have been the connecting factor between us two was the deep pain we both have felt from years of various issues and traumas that ultimately lead us to develop some serious mental health issues. The verse eventually details how my deep pain was what ultimately connected and also what separated us as I eventually got treatment -- no longer needing someone else as a crutch to deal with my own issues. Unfortunately, leading to less connection between us and the demise of the relationship. I won't decode what I meant by the final line in the verse because I adopted it from one of my own poems and is intended to be interpreted uniquely by everyone who hears it.
Verse 2:
The first half of a verse is also fairly straightforward and simply discusses how the relationship split between who I was and who I wanted to be for her. The duality frustrating me while I fought my own personal battles and fought to improve my mental health.
The second half of the verse is about how I hate how things have ended and how as a result I haven't been able to see a close friend of mine who I miss a lot. But, nonetheless I've still managed to become everything I said I would while in the relationship and only ever needed for those close to me to believe in me and I will achieve what I've set out to do.
Outro:
In all honesty, the outro has no meaning, it just sounded good as outro for the song.
